ANESTHESIA GROUPS PUBLISH STATEMENTS ON ANESTHESIA AWARENESS

On October 5, 2004, JCAHO published their Sentinel Event Alert #32 on Anesthesia Awareness.  Please see the "Links" page of this site for the text of this document.

 On October 25, 2005, the ASA approved the "Practice Advisory on Brain Activity Monitoring."  This was a result of several years of intensive study by a Task Force.  Please see the "Links" page of this site for the text of this document.

Congratulations to the AANA for this courageous and positive stance!  Thank you on behalf of the tens of thousands of victims of awareness represented by the Anesthesia Awareness Campaign!
